After last year's 'Best Of' titled "Timeless", BAD HABIT returns with their 10th full studio album "Atmosphere". This easily may be the best album from this band ever… and I think one of the best 2011 releases already. the CD is from an unbelievable high level. It has just enough crunchy guitar in the songs and just enough keyboards without making them soft or poppy.Bad Habit proved with "Atmosphere" that now they really belong into the big melodic rock league.¡Highly Recommended !.
This is with no doubt one of best Japanese Hard Rock albums ever, Great guitar work and very American-sounding vocals. Awesome melodic rock that rivals any Swiss, Scandi, or American band. ¡Highly recommended!
¡ With 'Elysium' Stratovarius is fully back!, 'Elysium' displays the sound and breathes the familiar atmosphere we know from early Stratovarius, The band, with Kotipelto up front, sounds fresh and driven, Jens Johansson's keyboard has regained a lot of it’s importantance and the many intros give the album a lot of atmosphere. Jorg Michael drumms still sounding like a pounding hammer and Matias guitar work is unbelievable, The new material is the most appealing that Stratovarius has released in years. Strong back to 90´s Melodic Power Metal by the legendary band.
If you are a Mr. BIG longtime fan, you should really enjoy this album and if this is your first time around the block searching for first class melodic rock, there are several tracks that might have you scouring the record bins for their earlier material. "What If..." is a very solid release from these veteran rockers from Los Angeles that have spent the past 15 years trying to get back into the music scene in the U.S. They're still a #1 act in Asia, Great Comeback.  |
